Higo Tsuka

Very nice wakizashi (or O-tanto) sized tsuka of Higo style.  Wrapping is executed in black-lacquered leather.  Fittings are shakudo with gold gilding, and decorated with wave motif.  Menuki are of shells, also made of shakudo with gold gilding.  Overall a very nice, well-preserved tsuka of classic Higo style, and refined samurai aesthetic.
